Up for Sale is an Australian Festival Records Promo Kit for -
Ray Burgess Band
"Final Mix"
Festival Records- Radio Station Promo Pack circa 1978- RARE!!!
and
it is a First Australian Pressing
This promotional pack promoting Australian, Rock and Pop singer from the 1970’s, Ray Burgess, consists of:- A Festival Records Company Folder in Burnt Orange colour that is slightly larger than an LP record when closed.
On the front is a full-colour, printed sticker with a photo of Ray Burgess and the title to his album “The Latest Album-Final Mix”. Inside the folder, it has a flap on the bottom of each side to hold the contents in place.
Inside the folder, inside a Purple, Festival Records, Cardboard LP sleeve, is a White Label, Promo LP for Ray Burgess’s 1978 album, Final Mix entitled- “Ray Burgess Radio Special”. On side 1 is- “Track Pointers, Final Mix”, on side 2 is- “Open End Interview”. See booklet for complete record contents.
Then there are two, four page booklets, printed in black and white and measuring 290 mm x 215 mm. One booklet is a bit about the new “Final Mix” album and a bio of Ray Burgess, the other booklet is the list of the tracks and contents of the “Radio Special Promo” Album for Final Mix.
Then there is a copy of the actual album itself. Note that there is a red Festival Records “Promo” sticker on one of the labels. Inside the LP record jacket is a paper record sleeve in colour, with a picture of Ray on one side and the lyrics on the other.
Condition:
The Burnt Orange folder has wear along the right, front edge, a tiny tear in the middle, top and bottom, less than 5mm. The “Final Mix” album jacket has very slight ring wear and shelf grime on the front, there is a notiiceable,
light, stain on front, bottom, right, and bottom, back left.The flyers are both Near Mint. Both of the LP’s and the labels, as well as the inner, printed record sleeve are in NEAR MINT condition.
