You are bidding on a Vinyl issue of The Ramones’ 1976 debut LP “Ramones” issued on Sire Records: (SASD 7520). This version appears to be a first pressing, and contains the misspelling on the record label for the 1st two tracks on side 1 on the LP.
The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. They are often cited as the first true punk rock group. Despite achieving a limited commercial appeal in the United States during their time together, the band saw more success in England and Brazil, and are today seen as highly influential. This album is now considered one of the best debut LP’s in Rock n Roll. (Blitzkrieg Bop)!!!
We purchased this item decades ago, played it (and enjoyed it!), and it has been sitting in our home (vertically) for the last few decades.
The condition of the LP is great, in near mint condition. It looks very clean with no visible markings. The LP cover is graded as VG+. There are signs of wear around the edges and corners. If you look very close on the front cover, on the “E” in “Ramones,” there is the tiniest bit of sticker residue. You have to really be looking for it to see it. (Please see photos). The inner sleeve is the original with a picture on one side, and lyrics on the other.
Please remember that this album was well taken care of, but it was played as part of our record collection decades ago. with only very minor wear
