Description
FIRST MONO VINYL PRESSING FROM 1958!
Very seldom seen in UK auctions is this beautiful MONO FIRST PRESSING of Randy Weston's under-the-radar classic, Little Niles (United Artists UAL-4011), a wonderful album of music composed by Randy and arranged by Melba Liston. I have fully play-tested the vinyl, so my grading is based on how the record actually sounds, as well as how it looks.
Vinyl is strictly graded in Excellent condition, with minimal crackle on the run-in and a nice quiet soundstage throughout. All characteristics of the first Mono pressing are present. Visually, there is nothing affecting the audio - I can see a couple of tiny dimples on side 1 (in photos) but these appear to be purely cosmetic on playback.
The laminated, dimpled cover is strictly graded in Excellent condition, due to a couple of very small corner dings. However, it is structurally sound and generally in superb condition.
Note that I separate the vinyl from the outer sleeve for postage to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me, and in the way I'd like to receive them.
All items are play-tested throughout, and I strive to be comprehensive and fair in grading descriptions. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to help.
