Description
The early 1960"s was a wonderful time to be into collecting great records, and obtaining fine equipment to play them on. One of the finest records one could obtain at that time was Audiophile Records, produced in 78 microgroove, and 33-1/3 (LP) 12 and 16 inch.
The company was owned by a man who wanted the highest quality records for the finest quality equipment, and his records filled the bill.
For your inspection is Audiophile PX3162, 16 inch 33-1/3, The disc has 21 selections, and are samples of the tunes featured on records produced .The bands represented on this disk are The Red Dougherty Group, Helen Ward, and Harry Blons These records were produced over 50 years ago and still considered one of the highest standards of recorded quality. I bought these records almost 50 years ago, they have followed me all over the USA, but it is time to let them go.
The hallmark of all Audiophile records was that they were pressed in red vinyl, and this record is no exception. It is in excellent condition, and plays today just as it did, 50 years ago.
The records original vinyl sleeve is in perfect condition, but the paper outer cover does show its age, is patched, and shows some water stains, but it is in tact.
