Description
A truly rare opportunity to purchase this1956 r'nb track. Originally issued in 1952 on 78rpm,but not until 1956 on 45rpm.
As can be seen, this is the highly sought after UK issue on Vogue Records-cat no.45/V2127 with the tri centre.Also of great interest,is the fact that the sand coloured paper sleeve used by Vogue,Vogue Coral and Coral in the 1950's and early 1960's appears to be the original as it has the cat.no and selling price (6/3) written in the top right hand corner. (n.b. most UK record shops did this in the 1950's and 1960's).
Basically, a double "A" sider,the tracks are "Lollipop Mama" and "Bloodshot Eyes". On playing the former, you can see where Little Richard obtained some of his musical influence!
The record I would describe as very clean and still retains a shiny lustre.It has some very minor surface marks but this doesn't affect the sound quality,apart from 3 very faint clicks towards the end of Lollipop Mama.I would grade it as Very Good +
