We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

No where to be found ~ seemingly only around for a minute, little known to exist, old exact 2nd-press of the mighty album: HERO -- a 1972 guitar/keyboard trio who utilized their great skills in combining an impressive harsh-progressive rock sound based on self composed material ...
HERO is certainly a 'lost' group from the progressive rock movement of Italy in the early 1970's with their only album issued in 1972. The group included Robert Deller (keyboards, vocals), Massimo Pravato (guitar, bass), and Umberto Maschio (drums). They left Italy after forming to take up residency in Germany as their style of progressive music was similar to the popular Krautrock scene. The band was cut short when guitarist Massimo Pravato was killed in a car accident in 1973.
Some collectors might categorize this album in with the Italian symphonic, but really(?), to these ears it is more of a lost hard psych rock artifact. Very strange, like mixing Sabbath riffs with Jan Dukes de Grey, Traffic pacing, and some Jim Morrison/Peter Hammill darkness in the lyrics.
Another view of the sound is that musically one might consider Hero a combination of art rock with a heavy progressive feel, there are vibes from Gong, Van Der Graaf Generator, early Floyd and King Crimson most definitely, but there is also a dark doomy sound to it as well. The 9-minute standout track "Clapping and Smiling" is really quite a departure from the earlier 'heavy' tracks, featuring a flowing keys and folksy acoustic guitar for the first third of the track, when suddenly things again get powerful with hard vocals, Sabbath/Bill Ward style drumming and guitar that begs to be played loud! That final third of the song slows down again and gets pretty cosmic and reminds a little of Syd Barrett were he fronting a hard rock band! The album closes with a nice acoustic piece called "Buzzard" which serves to smooth out the previous sonic assaults and takes us in off the ledge. The final lyrical line is: "My pain will serve to be something." Before the album was even released their guitarist Massimo was killed in an auto wreck adding further weight to the strange mood of this work.
The playing is both amateurish-sounding in places and yet still quite compelling overall. Hero is an album that has become a prized keeper for many collectors. If you are really into early 70s dark, edgy hard rock that defies easy categorizing, Hero might blow your mind. Or perhaps just irritate your entire household.

CONDITION: The cover is fragile and over the years has (2) light spider-web handling creases (minor and light), otherwise "EX" (excellent) with solid seams, no writing and clean bright colors...will fit in with any serious collection.
The vinyl is all smooth and glossy over both sides, M- playing clean and dynamic loud when volume is boosted ... The labels are clean.
