Description
DAVID PEEL & THE LOWER EAST SIDE "The Ballad of New York City / John Lennon - Yoko Ono" (Stereo) b/w "F Is Not A Dirty Word" (Mono) Very Rare PROMO ONLY Vinyl 7" Record in Apple Records Company Sleeve Los Angeles / West Coast Pressing w/ Asterisk in Deadwax Area (SPRO-6498 / PRO-6499) As I continue on my trek towards old fartdom, I'll be listing a lot of my way cool books, LPs, 45s, CDs and music-related memorabilia on eBay in the coming months, so be sure to check back every once in a while, won't you?
Here’s the amazing long-out-of-print Promotional Only seven-inch from David Peel & The Lower East Side. Issued by Apple Records as a promotional record for radio airplay - this single was never released to the general public. The "Ballad" song is in stereo while the (cleaned up) "F" song is in mono. Housed in original Apple Records company sleeve. Overall very nice condition, it does have some scuffs and playwear. L.A. Pressing Plant Asterisk * is noted in the deadwax area. I gave both side a spin before listing this and it played through quite nicely and without issue. Sleeve does have some age/use wear. You don't find this one very often so do not dilly-dally ‘cuz it won’t last long!
I’ve included LARGE images above for your grading needs.
I often include several shipping methods so upon check-out please choose the one that’s best for you. As with many of our Bay items, this lot is sold with no reserves! If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Be sure to check out all of the other neat items we're currently offering on eBay!
