Pivi et ses Balladins, Syliphone Conakry SLP 31, Made in France 1972.

Side 1: Yahadi Gere, Fi Sama, Fon n'tan siga, Keba mirima.

Side 2: Sankaran ka, Ka noutea, Sakha a firma, Responsable supreme.

Cover in VG++ condition (Light ring wear otherwise in great condition).

Record in VG++ condition (Light scuffs, scratches which do not affect play, light surface noise here and there).

Ok, so what we have here is a beautiful VG++ copy of this great and rare Syliphone release from 1972. Such quality on this Lp that some of the tracks have been included in the latest CD release of Graeme Counsel, the resume of Balla et ses Balladins work for the Guinee label on Stern's. Balla was omitted from the title of this release as he fell out with a senior government minister and he was sacked (for a short time) as Chef d'Orchestre. But that was just a front as the sound is still totally Balla's and the great vocalist Manfila Kante excels here. Many outstanding tracks: "Sankaran Ka", "Fon N'tan Siga", "Ka Noutea" etc. The whole Lp is great! If you collect the Syliphone labeol and you don't have this one, well you need it! Rare and great. My grading system: M (Mint, totally untouched, as new), M- (Very light wear, looks and plays beautifully without any problems), VG++ (Light wear but still looks and plays beautifully without problems), VG+ (Slight wear, thin, light marks on vinyl, could have light surface noise), VG (Wear, cover could be torn, split, record has marks, plays ok but could have skips and surface noise) etc.
