Authentic 1ST PRESSING~"RVG" (etching in deadwax..both sides) = RUDY VAN GELDER Engineering and the "ear" symbol is easily seen in the deadwax of both sides. Authentic Original 1956 Release. Classic Blue Note blue and white labels with "767 Lexington Ave, N.Y.C." address on labels and back cover. Deep groove. Thick inflexible original vinyl.
This amazing album features KENNY DORHAM-trumpet,HANK MOBLEY- tenor sax, HORACE SILVER-piano, DOUG WATKINS-bass, and ART BLAKEY-drums.

Strong NM- / Strong VG++ Vinyl. Super Glossy..just a few very light hairlines that do not affect play.
Strong VG....no ringwear, one neatly clear taped bottom seam split, scrape mark left side front cover, stain upper left corner back cover, rub mark bottom back cover.
PLAY TESTED: This great Van Gelder 1st pressing plays with clean strong and crisp rich full Mono sound fidelity. The instrumentation is historic. This is the best first press of this album we have ever heard. And its hard to say who plays the best on this particular album since they all play great. This flat edge deep groove first press plays extremely clean!
Next day shipping. Vinyl and cover separated and placed in a 2 mil poly bag and then into a professional sturdy Lp mailer along with several cardboard inserts providing extra protection for this jazz gem.
