Description

I’m putting up for auction MORE BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVES (extra copies) FROM MY OWN VINYL COLLECTION. So, if you want to begin a collection of Beatles Singles Picture Sleeves or are seeking to obtain or upgrade certain picture sleeves, you will definitely want to check out my other current auctions for items you may want.

In this auction are 1 Beatles Die-Cut Picture Sleeve and 1 Beatles original VJ 45 RPM record.

Here are the details about the record and picture sleeve in this auction:

·       “WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR” VEE-JAY Records Christmas Sleeve by The Beatles

·       According to Perry Cox, “this picture sleeve was issued with Vee Jay, Tollie and Oldies singles in late 1964”.

·       And “the sleeve is die-cut, exposing the record label, and features the portraits of the Beatles that are also found on other Vee Jay releases”.

·       This sleeve was issued in October, 1964.

·       The PICTURE SLEEVE is in NICE VG CONDITION. The initials “A.D.” are written in black marker near the top on one side. The remnants of a price sticker are near the top and there is a small tear on the second “P” in “HAPPY” on the same side as the initials.  There is a 1/2 –inch seam split on the bottom. There is some discoloration caused by glue on the sides (visible on one side only). This was caused by the original glue used at the factory at time of manufacture. (I have 4 of these sleeves and all 4 have the glue discoloration.)

·       The RECORD included in this auction is “Do You Want To Know A Secret” b/w “Thank You Girl”. This is VJ 587 and has the brackets logo. It is in VG CONDITION with writing on the labels and some hairlines and scuffs.

A tough Beatles sleeve to find, for sure!

(Thanks to Perry Cox’s Price Guide for the Beatles American Records for information about this record.)
