Description
Up for auction is a Rare Garage Rock 45 by D Witherspoon And The Future.This is a Promo 45 on Frantic label # 2139.D Witherspoon And The Future was a Garage band from the Yuba City/Marysville area of California which is north of Sacramento.Songs titled Cry And See on one side and has Handful Of Love on the other side.The Cry And See song is featured on at least one Garage Rock CD which is titled Up From The Grave.Not sure of the exact year the 45 was released but was between 1965 to 1968 according to the CD.Just by looking at label looks to be a 1965 or 1966 release.The Handful Of Love side of record has multiple very light to light scratches with 7 small scratches that are feelable with fingernail.Also has lots of groove wear with groove graying Please see picture.Also has some scuffing.The Cry And See side of record has some light scratches and also has 7 scratches feelable with fingernail.This side also has tons of groove wear.You can see in the picture it has lots of graying on the grooves.Still a great copy as this is very tough to find in any condition.I play tested both sides.The Handful Of Love side of record plays pretty well with a light to medium background crackle.The Song is much louder than the background noise.The Cry And See side of record plays with a background crackle as well and at times sounds a little distorted or fuzzy during some of the softer parts of the song.Some ticks and pops here and there.Song is definately louder than the background noise.Both White Promo labels nice although the Cry And See side of label has a small X drawn near left side.If buyer is not 100% satisfied I have a return for refund on all records I sell.
