Description
You are bidding on an extremely limited edition copy of DJ Shadow's remix of the Radiohead song "The Gloaming." "The Gloaming" was one of the stand-out tracks from Radiohead's latest record Hail to the Thief. As you may or may not know, this remix was made by DJ Shadow in (dis)honor of the latest presidential election. Besides being a great remix of a great song, DJ Shadow managed to incorporate some samples of George W. Bush sounding evil as per always. It makes for a very erie effect. In fact, the remix was so controversial that Shadow's record label wouldn't release the record, citing "sample clearance issues" (aka we're too afraid to offend the Bush administration *boohoo*). The best part of the record is its appearance (see the picture below). The record is cut in the shape of Dick Cheney's demonic head and has some great photo-shop effects.
The copy I'm selling is brand-spanking-new, never-been-played, never-even-been-outside-of-the-original-vinyl-sleeve, mint condition (if that's your thing).
As I said above, past attempts at releasing this single have been hampered, so this may be your one chance to own this highly collectable record.
Oh yeah, many of you might recognize this auction from a few days ago. Unfortunately, eBay in their infinite wisdom decided to cancel my account without notifying me, thereby cancelling all my auctions as well. My sincerest apologies. What can I say?
