Description
Here is a great vintage 1954 Harvard University 10" record called "Encores" by the Dunster Dunces. They later became the Din & Tonics.
"Encores" was only the Dunces' third release and very few examples of this record have survived the last 55 years in nice condition.
"What Boston Means to Me" is the Dunces performing a rare Tom Lehrer tune that did not appear on any of Tom's records or cds, including the 75 song triple-box set "The Remains of Tom Lehrer".
Other songs include: "Daddy Is a Yale Man" (on a Harvard record?), "Carolina In the Morning", "Hector the Garbage Collector", and "Tears" (a.k.a. "I've Got Tears in My Ears from Lying On the Bed Crying Over You").
This is an original first and only pressing from 1954.
The cover has three seam splits but it's still in one piece. Some wear.
Great cover art of five dunces with '30s type lettering.
Back cover has a history of the Dunster Dunces.
The vinyl is nice, with some light marks that result in low noise.
A great rare piece of Harvard and Tom Lehrer history.
