Description

Brighter World records #001, Carl Temple doing “Soul Day Theme” b/w same. About a day that used to be celebrated in Detroit back in the time when a record label would be named “Brighter World”. Great great tune here, music is funky and heartfelt, vocals (lead (by Jimmy Scott) and backing) too. This tune is so optimistic, makes you sad to see present day Detroit. We’ll be back! Labels have a bit of wear, VG+. Perfectly glossy vinyl has a few one-off light scratches, slight crackle near run-in. Strong VG on the vinyl. Click below to hear actual record being auctioned.

Gradings:
M : Mint  ( I never use this grade unless I’m making tea or visiting Denver).
NM : Near Mint, Very clean, only a few light marks but sound is like new.
VG++ :Very glossy, any scratches or marks will be light and barely affecting play.
VG+ :. Possibly some light crackle, plays well.
VG : Used record,  some scratches, no loud pops or skips; plays ok.

VG- : Some loud crackle, pops, a skip, probably not much gloss left.
G : Abused!  Some serious scratches, skips, a crack.
