Description

Ultra Rare, Don Rendell/Ian Carr Quintet, and a terrific album of British jazz, by one of the best groups in the UK jazz scene in the 60's. "Dusk Fire" was a 1966 release on Columbia/EMI, Cat. No. SX 6064. The music is absolutely brilliant to listen to. Beside Don on tnr and Ian - tpt, there's Michael Garrick-pno; Dave Green-bass and Trevor Tonks-dms. On this LP, Don is also heard on flute, soprano sax and clarinet.

Those of us lucky enough to be around at the time, will know how good the UK jazz scene was, and this group played some of the best jazz you'll ever hear, and that includes anything you've heard from the US!

Record is graded in VG+Cond. for Side 1. A little surface noise, prevents me grading higher. A few surface marks on this side. Side 2 carries a little more noise, so is graded VG Cond. However, you can hear the music quite clearly, with no distortion. There are more surface marks on this side and spider scratches, but no deep ones, as have done the fingernail test. There may be dust in the grooves, so with professional cleaning, it could improve to higher grade.

The sleeve is slightly better than VG Cond. There is scuffing on corners and small tear on bottom side which is sellotaped.

A fantastic opportunity to acquire this exceedingly rare album, of which a Mint copy is for sale elsewhere at £650.00! However this is not a Mint copy of course, but nevertheless is one of the rarest albums of Don Rendell/Ian Carr you will find. Good Luck to all bidders.

P & P to USA/Canada/Worldwide is £6.75
