Description
This is a rare Edison Diamond Disc dealer's "Sample Record" No. 9, released in June 1926. It contains snippets of ten songs released that month. Thirteen of these were released to dealers between November1925 and December 1926 in an effort to improve poor sales. As there were fewer and fewer Edison dealers by then, and the fact that they probably had to pay for these, not many survive.
This copy has a couple of faults. There is a chip to the edge of the first side which goes into the grooves. There are also a few gray grooves and scratches. Therefore it is best to play this on a modern turntable and not on a Disc machine.
