Welcome back to another round of the world's rarest funk and soul vinyl, courtesy waterpolo85.
For your consideration, we have: JAMES POLK and THE BROTHERS "The Robot" and "Stick-To-It-Tive-Ness" on Sonobeat Records, circa 1969. Two serious sides of funky soul from Polk, who receives assistance on the B-side from a talented female belter credited only as "Yvonne," impossible to find anymore, check the soundclips!
Click Here to Listen to "The Robot" Click Here to Listen to "Stick-To-It-Tive-Ness" Condition: this original, vintage copy is visually VG+++/M- with very little evidence of prior use, however there is an edge warp which causes a "whoosh" for the first 30 seconds or so, really only audible on the "Stick-to-it-tive-ness" intro; the edge warp is severe enough to cause your needle to jump if you don't have enough weight on the tone arm, it was not a problem for my turntable as the soundclips will attest.MY STRICT GRADING SCALE: M-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G
