Description
I'm selling this rare Sounds International label 45 RPM record. The band's name is Common Wealth. Carl Brody and Phil Liebman are noted on the label. Elsewhere on the label it says Twenty Grand Music BMI. The record number is #50166. I think it might be something called a garage record, and I can't seem to locate other examples of this band's work.
The songs are "It's Over" and "Circles". "It's Over" side has 2-3 scuffs and 1 scratch shown in picture 4. The scratch is hard to see and didn't cause any skips. There are some parts where background noise can be heard but it's faint. I couldn't capture a picture of any of the scuffs. The third picture is pretty indicative of the condition of both sides apart from the condition issues mentioned. "Circles" has one light scuff. "Circles" sounded folksy and "It's Over" was was more rock and roll with a guitar solo.
I played through them again to record videos of the songs to post on Youtube, and this time "Circles" skipped twice shortly before moving on through the song. I inspected the record afterward and saw the later parts in "Circles" had quite a bit of dust on it. I'll clean it off and test it again, as that should fix the problem.
