Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
Pacific Jazz original press deep groove MONO vinyl LP 1227 - released 1957
Vinyl (excellent) appears unplayed - no spindle marks or demarkations and is shiny and glossy. Test played once on high end equipment. Occasional light clicks but mostly plays pristinely and sounds as new. Deep and rich as expected from a well pressed deep groove mono production. The VG cover has straight firm spine and seams. 1" tear top seam (see photo), sticker lower left hand corner, and some type of (what appears to be) light lines-scraping center cover and upper right corner (visible from angle). Some ring wear - but overall for an unsealed copy at 57 years of age, it's still in pretty nice condition with virtually no discoloration. William Claxton cover photo. Carl Perkins piano. Red Mitchell bass.
