Rare Saba Erstpressung von 1967. Die Platte und das Klappcover mit eingeklebten zweisprachigen Booklet (dt./engl.) befinden sich in
einem exzellenten Zustand (siehe Bilder unten).
Diese Platte ist ein außergewöhnliches Beispiel für die Fusion aus Jazz und orientalischer Folklore.
1967 bat George Gruntz neben Jazzgrößen wie Jean-Luc Ponty oder Eberhard Weber auch 4 der besten
tunesischen Beduinenmusiker ins Studio. Das Ergebnis zählt zu den Glanzstücken in Gruntz' Discographie.

Description:
Rare World Jazz record by George Gruntz. Original firstpressing from 1969 (red saba tree label). Record and gatefold
cover are in an excellent condition. Includes booklet in 2 languages sticked to the middle of the gatefold. See pictures below.
George Gruntz organized this studio recording as an opportunity for blending the worlds of jazz and
arabian music, though utilizing original music of his own. With Sahib Shihab (soprano sax, flute, and tambourine),
violinist Jean-Luc Ponty, bassist Eberhard Weber, and drummer Daniel Humair, plus four Bedouin musicians
playing traditional Arabian reed, string, and percussion instruments.
