Description

This is an original copy of pioneer Manchester, NH band, The NUBS. This record was recorded and mixed at North Country Sounds, Auburn NH around 1979. Along with fellow Manchester punks, GG Allin and the Jabbers, they were the first rock and roll records recorded there and were the beginning of the alternative music scene north of Boston and in NH. The A-Side I Don't Need You (Cause I Got Me) is a not-so-sly nod to the original DIY pleasures and was included on the 1996 Killed By Death #12 release. This song and the B-Side DOGS received airplay on Manchester and Boston radio and came in a plain white sleeve. Both songs are very listenable even after 30 years.  Vinyl and label are clean and unplayed. Original pressings of these rarities may have numbered only 300, and very few were ever sold as the band had to literally give them away at the time. During a B-52's show at the Hampton Beach Casino, Nubs fans tossed handfuls of the singles at the stage during the B's encore!
