Rare PHILCO 45 rpm 5-disc set BOB DYLAN /CREATURES nm!

Description:   “PHILCO invites you to a DiSC-a Go-Go” Volume II

This is a boxed set of five (5) 45 rpm singles in a presentation box manufactured by Columbia Special Products for PHILCO CORPORATION.

The time frame would be approximately 1965-66.

These were probably “give-aways” to purchasers of Philco portable stereos similar to the one depicted in the groovy cover art. 

Contains the following five singles:

COLUMBIA 4-43541   BOB DYLAN  “Queen Jane Approximately” / “One Of Us Must Know (Sooner or Later)”

COLUMBIA 4-43480   THE CREATURES  “Turn Off The Light” / “It Must Be Love”

COLUMBIA 4-43519   ANDY WILLIAMS  “Bye Bye Blues” / “You’re Gonna Hear From Me”

EPIC 5-9894   BOBBY VINTON  “Tears” / “Go Away Pain”

EPIC 5-9876   MIKE DOUGLAS   “The Men In My Little Girl’s Life” / “Stranger On The Shore”

Condition:  

Box is beautiful NEAR MINT.

Four of the records appear unplayed, and are solid NEAR MINT. 

The Dylan single would grade NM except for a very tiny scuff at the beginning of “One Of Us Must Know” which produces 4 audible light ticks, nothing more.  The remainder of the side and “Queen Jane” play flawlessly with superb fidelity.  I have included sound clips of both sides of the Dylan disc and “Turn Off The Light” by the Creatures in their entirety, so that you can experience the sound quality which is awesome. 

All five discs are contained in their original factory sleeves which are pristine.

Each of the labels is stamped “PHILCO” on one side.
