Welcome back to another round of the world's rarest Hip-Hop vinyl, courtesy waterpolo85.
For your consideration, we have: MC 7-Up "Be Free," "Hip-Hop Prosecutor," and "(How I Feel About You) Stephanie" on Def Valley Records, circa 1991. A very unusual release and sound is achieved in this effort by the obscure MC 7-Up out of NYC (I believe Def Valley was Jimmy Spicer's label). A mesmerising blues guitar sample and De La Soul-ish rhymes on the best cut, "Be Free," weave a definate spell on the listener, even if the other songs disappoint a bit. But "Be Free" is primed and ready for discovery.
Condition: this copy is Mint, still in the shrink, and nearly perfect in every way.
