I am going in a different direction as to listing records on ebay in that I will give just my grade of the record pretty much that is BACKED UP 100% by my money back guarantee rather than listing the obvious things that go into that grading. For instance, I grade in totality...if the record has a lot of writing on the label or a significant tear on the label then I will probably have it at VG even though the vinyl might be quite nice. The reverse can be true with that grade as well (imho the most problematic in grading without question) in that the vinyl might be marked up pretty good and play with "significant noise" as allowed within the grade but the record looks fine as to outward appearance.
Generally speaking if a record comes in at VG+, Mint- or Mint, you can expect to receive a very clean record that should play great. If it is a VG or lower, it MIGHT have noise of varying degrees and from few to no marks all the way to many.
This will enable me to offer a lot more records as I can spend the time on picture taking, editing and then listing with one that does not take a lot of time typing out a lengthy description.
