Rare! Rolling Stones: BEFORE THEY MAKE ME RUN (Mono & Stereo) MINT 1978 RSR PROMO 45 Great Investment! Condition is "used." Ships by USPS Media Mail.
Nothing holds its value like Rolling Stones collectibles. Some of the rarest items in Rock 'n' Roll are directly related to this band. All these items were inexpensive in their day but have skyrocketed over the years!
For instance, the rarest of all 7" 45 rpm picture sleeves is the one intended to house their single Street Fighting Man from 1968. Immediately removed from the shelves, it was the first sleeve not to feature a picture of the band, rather it featured photos of street violence with police officers at the Chicago DNC. It is conservative to value one at $18,000, the last time one appeared for bid, but probably much more.
Also, the 1984 MFSL Boxed Set, "The Rolling Stones" which went for a mere $350.00 then, now sells for some $5,000 on eBay today. (Check them out right now.) The impossible Beast of Burden picture sleeve from 1978 is another great example as is the mono promo 45 for Dandelion backed with the trippy We Love You, also the pic sleeve to 1964's Heart of Stone, and of course the sleeve to the record which you could bid on or buy right here, BEFORE THEY MAKE ME RUN. Promotional records or "promo 45s" as they are sometimes called, were sent out to DJs early to get fans excited about a new release. They were issued in very limited quantities and many were discarded after the general release, further increasing their scarcity in today's marketplace. Also adding to the value, of course, is condition, with higher grades commanding huge increases in value, much the way rare coins work.
This promo 45 of BEFORE THEY MAKE ME RUN by the Rolling Stones that I am offering is just such a record. It is in flawless MINT condition showing no trace of wear, no scuffing, no scratches, not even fingerprints. It is as if it has never been played! (I certainly never played it.) If you already own the picture sleeve to this gem, then you can greatly increase its value as a set. I you just collect Stones, this is a major addition. If you are looking ahead, you will never lose a penny on this item.
