Description
Up for auction is a Rolling Stones record. This is the extremely rare mispressed Hot Rocks 1964-1971 2 LP set also known as the Shelley Hot Rocks. As you can see in the picture both LPs and the original sleeves are in great shape with very little surface scratches and comes with the "211 reasons the Rolling Stones is the worlds greatest rock and roll band" insert. This insert was only packed in with the first pressings of this LP. In the matrix of all four sides is the name Shelley and on the 4th side is also 11-18-71. This version was only pressed for the first couple weeks of production before the alternate songs on side 4 were changed. Only side 4 was repressed, which is why the date was on there. Some versions may have a later date or no date or even no Shelley. This is the only one that has the alternate versions of Wild Horses and Brown Sugar. These songs were never released besides this mispressed LP. These alternate songs were swapped for the album versions on the remainder of its pressings. Goldmine values this record at $1000,00. (I assume in mint condition, which this is not)
