Serge Gainsbourg (1928-1991) "gainsbourg percussions", Rare Philips Mono P 77.842 L, made by Philips in France 1964, Vinyl/Cover = M- Ex VG++/M- Ex VG++
Serge Gainsbourg introduced the French to jazz and reggae. He was the dirty mouth of French pop, he was a singer, producer and writer of songs like "Le poinçonneur des lilas" (1958), "Poupée de cire, poupée de son" (1965, by France Gall), "Harley Davidson" (1968, by Brigitte Bardot), the all-time favorite "Je t'aime... Moi non plus" (1969, with Jane Birkin), "Dieu fumeur de havanes" (1980, with Catherine Deneuve), "Love on the beat" (1984) and "Lemon Incest" (1984, with Charlotte Gainsbourg). He was also a film director and wrote the soundtracks for more than 40 movies.
This is the sixth Gainsbourg album, originally released by Philips in 1964. Musicians: Serge Gainsbourg (vocals), Alain Goraguer & his orchestra. The first concept album of 1964. Serge here finds himself adapting his songs to Africa percussions 20 years before anyone else. Here is the track list:

I got this record at an auction here in Vancouver as part of a larger lot of records in very good condition, which I will put on auction in the coming weeks. The former owner apparently brought the records from France, since all are made in France and many of them still have the price tag in French Francs on them. They are from the late sixties to the early eighties and testify the good taste of a serious collector both in the selection of rare and unique labels as well in the careful treatment of the collection. In fact most of the records seem to have been played not once, flaws if any coming exclusively from examinations by potential bidders at the auction previewing the lot.
Both vinyl and sleeve are in near mint condition, I think this record was never played, and I only visually inspected it. The record is in a plastic insert.

Of course I would combine shippings.
