Description

This is the rarely found original sleeve for Thomas Edison's speech "Let Us Not Forget" issued on Diamond Disc in 1919, to commemorate the end of World War I.  The back has a facsimile of Edison's typed speech with his changes made in ink, i.e. "our soldiers" changed to "our boys".  It appears that Edison was promoting an Internationalist view of the post war world, probably in favor of the League of Nations, as he warns against "demigods" who try to minimize the part played by the Allies.
