This is a rare and killer funky, soul, psych lp. With some excellent electric guitar with fuzz, wah wah etc. Called: MACHINE self titled. This dynamite lp is a u.s. pressing on extremely thick, rigid vinyl with purple and silver ALL PLATINUM labels #AP-3010. And is an original from 1972. Tunes are: TIME IS RUNNING OUT/ONLY PEOPLE CAN SAVE THE WORLD/WHY CAN'T PEOPLE/HEADHUNTER/WORLD/ TRAILS/LOCK YOUR DOOR/BOOTS IN THE SNOW. The 3 member of machine are: DONALD MCCOY (DRUMS)/CURTIS MCTEER (BASS)/MICHAEL WATSON (LEAD GUITARS, & VOCALS).Background vocals are by the WHATNAUTS. Additional instruments are Organ and piano, percussion, trumpet and sax.Those players are: RAY JONES (ORGAN & PIANO)/FRANK PRESCOD (BASS)/BUNCH HERNDON (PERCUSSION)/DEE & CORDY PRIDGES (TRUMPET & SAX). If you search for the best lps that are hard to find and in the best condition,consider adding this one to your collection. Cover is still in shrink wrap with just a hint of wear nothing more. Lp is hardly played at all, labels are near perfect, with only faint spindle trail, vinyl is very glossy with NO scratches, groove wear, defects, etc. And you have to look very close under bright lights to see a few very tiny surface scuffs that do not affect play.
