Bert Jansch: “Jack Orion”
On offer here is a VERY rare LP by Folk Guitarist Pioneer Bert Jansch called “Jack Orion”
It is an ORIGINAL 1966 UK 1st Pressing on the extremely collectable “Transatlantic” label and also features fellow “Pentangle” band mate, John Renbourn.
Bert was an early pioneer of the open tuning format favoured by lots of folk, country and bluegrass artists and is credited with introducing the much favoured DADGAD tuning to non other than Jimmy Page and Donovan.
Bert was also an original member of the highly regarded folk ensemble “Pentangle” and in June 2008 the band, comprising of all five original members, embarked on a 12 date UK tour.
This record is a must for all serious collectors of the folk genre.
