Description


This is a scarce, if not unique, early Paul ‘Doc’ Evan’s 78 on a private Schmitt label. The record label has type written the following ‘ 11637 C ‘Birth of the Blues’ Paul Evans Dixie Land Band’, and on the other side, ‘C Fidgety Feet, Baul (typo) Evans Dixie Land Band’. The label is 'Paul A. Schmitt Music Co. 88 S. 10th St. Minneapolis’. We did the best we could in capturing the recordings and will be glad to send you a sample for you to hear. We believe that this recording was made between 1940 and 1946. The condition of the record is fair to good. We will also include the CD that we personally made from this record. There is a low opening bid of $24.99 with a modest reserve.
