Description
Very Rare set of German Opera. Der Ring Des Nibelungen, with four separate boxes - Das Rheingold, Die Walkure, Siegfried, Gotter Dammenrung. and the bonus book Ring Resounding.
All 19 lp's are in at least Near Mint condition. Some are Unplayed with no spindle marks or visible surface defects.
The outer box is in Very Good condition, and the Four inner boxes are in Near Mint condition.
Each box has a booklet describing the opera, complete with pictures.
London ffrr recordings used the Neumann SX-68 helium disc cutter for superior pressings.
More importantly, this set has a "G" in the dead wax area and is indicative of mastering engineer Ted Burkett, whose pressings are almost always superior, like his Decca recordings.
I have played a couple of these on my AR turntable with Signet cartridge, and they sound outstanding. If you have an audiophile turntable to play these on, you will not be disappointed.
Please feel free to ask questions. USA media mail would be approximately $10. Canadian buyers should wait for shipping cost calculation after auction ends.
