Description

For auction is an incredibly rare WEIRDOS hand made xeroxed fanzine from 1978.  It has funny articles with silly headlines and weird graphics.  But the best thing is it has lyrics to many Weirdos songs, some of which were not, and have never been, released!  "I'm Plastic" and "11:11" are both unreleased for some reason; bummer, cos I'm Plastic is one of my favorite songs by these Los Angeles Punk Legends who played with the Likes of X, Germs, Alley Cats, Dils, Bags, Nerves, Skulls, Black Flag, Crime, Avengers, Dogs, Urinals, UXA, and many of the First Wave punk bands who played the Masque and Whiskey.  This is a piece of LA music history here that was available by mail order through their fan club or at Bomp Records in LA, so not many of these were made; even fewer, I have to believe are still around.  This one has been in a folder on my book shelf for over 25 years now, and it is time for someone else to enjoy it.  This old school punk gem is 11 pages of Weirdos punk bliss, and is 8 1/2 x 11" in size.  It is in excellent vintage condition with some fading and "old Xerox" smell, but otherwise museum quality - no blood or vomit.  I got it at the Bomp Warehouse in the 80's from Greg Shaw (RIP), and has been a treasure in my punk collection ever since. Flipside Magazines and Slash Magazines are great, but this fanzine is more specific to the Weirdos.  I may have some additional items to list in upcoming auctions, including an autographed Who? What? When? Where?
