Thirty-two acts performed during the sometimes rainy weekend in front of nearly half a million concertgoers. Some of the artists included Jimi Hendrix, the Who, Joan Baez, Butterfield Blues, Canned Heat, Joe Cocker, Country Joe & The Fish, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Arlo Guthrie, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Country Joe Macdonald, Santana, John B. Sebastian, Sha-Na-na, Sly & The Family Stone and Ten Years After.

It is widely regarded as one of the greatest moments in popular music history and was listed on Rolling Stone's 50 Moments That Changed the History of Rock and Roll.

Woodstock: Music from the Original Soundtrack and More is the live triple  album of the 1969 Woodstock concert. Originally released on Atlantic Records' Cotillion label as a set of 3 LPs in 1970.
