Ancient fanzine from Germany released in 1993 by Costas who is now running Iron Pegasus!!! Excellent condition after all those years!!! interviews and articles with and about Satyricon, Isvind, a large two page BURZUM/Varg interview!!!, Mortiis, Perished, Primigenium, Austrian Black Metal Syndicate, Gehenna, Asphyx, Thy Serpent, Lake of Tears, Abigor, Bathory, a 2-page swedish black metal scene report, Swordmaster, Aeternus, Sigilium Diavoli, and many more + reviews etc. Glossy Cover and small black and white print on the pages. This is pure underground art back from the old days...ULTRARARE and almost impossible to find anywhere!
I have already offered the zine here on ebay more than a year ago but the highest bidder disguised himself as a fun bidder and didnt pay back then and so I finally decided to keep it for myself. Now I offer this peace of black/death metal history once again. If you consider the starting price as to high - I deem it is surely not - than I will still keep the zine and you may buy the newest edition of metal hammer or whatsoever for more than 10 dollars or so. Its as simple as that: I dont sell this zine which to me is a great reminder of the ancient days and surely at least, pretty likely more, worth the starting price for a copper piece. For you to get a better impression of what kind of a zine we are talking about right here, I add some reviews of later editions of Tales of the macabre Zine which I found in the internet. However you bid on Issue #2, an even more precious and Old School jewel than the two reviews below.
Issue Number 5: The CULT-oriented Extreme Metal magazine that we Old School starved maniacs cannot get enough of! Totally rockin' articles & interviews by Old School CULT Maniac, Costa with: DESASTER, SABBAT (Japan), BULLDOZER, MERCYFUL FATE's Hank Sherman, SOULBURN (killer collaboration featuring PENTACLE & ASPHYX!), MORTUARY DRAPE, IMPIETY, WIZARD (Finland), SECRETS OF THE MOON (ex-Martyrium), METALUCIFER, VADER, NECROPHOBIC, ORDER FROM CHAOS/VULPECULA, OBSCURITY, VIOLENT FORCE/LIVING DEATH(!)/SODOM, DAMNATION Records, FROM THE DARK (New Zealand), MAGNESIUM (Jpn.), ASGARD (Czech.), plus "Forgotten Jewels" section (classic releases by BLOOD FEAST, MESSIAH, & MORTAL SIN!), vinyls section, Pic-Disc discussion, old(!) SLAYER centerfold, plus tons of great music reviews, demo-tapes, & Metal fan-zines! WHEW!!!
Issue Number 4: Unbelievably awesome Metal mag from Germany featuring very excellent articles & interviews with (pictured on the front cover!), , , , , Barathrum, Conqueror, Bathory, Merciless Records (released , , Ungod, Mortem, etc.), , Lordian Guard (ex-Warlord), Decayed, Guillotine (' new band; sounds like Kreator!), Warhammer, Necronomicon (old German Thrash!), , Mortem, & . With great, informative articles about (Living Death!, Exorcist from Canada!, etc.); lots of vinyl & CD reviews (including a seperate section for all the new Swedish releases), fanzine reviews, & a nostalgic report on past Dynamo, Eindhoven festivals! There's lots of mention of Classic Thrash (like Deathrow, Törr, , Exhumer, Sodom, Destruction, Exciter, etc.) to rekindle a strong excitement for old school stuff; with a great concert-photo of King Diamond on the back cover, & a surprise centerfold (Hellhammer!?!)
*(52 pages, B/W, high-quality semi-gloss throughout!)
