Description
Up for auction is a rare white promo copy of Riverside 420, Jonny Griffin Quartet's "The Kerry Dancers and Other Swinging Folk" from 1962. This is an ex-radio DJ copy of the album, and thus is a mono edition and features the white promo label, along with deep grooves.
Sleeve: NM, the lone mark being a line of text stating an acquisition date of "July 15, 1962."
Record: NM, with no marks and no spindle wear. I do believe this LP has never been played.
This is an absolutely amazing copy of this record, truly a collectible.
I am a university professor of music here in the US who inherited this and other records (Blue Note, Norgran, Impulse!, Columbia, Prestige, Fantasy, Riverside, etc.) from a collector and former radio DJ a few years back. I am looking to sell off some of these records to collectors/audiophiles who can get more enjoyment out of them than I can.
