Description
A 1967 stereo reissue of Ravi Shankar -Music of India, part of the HMV "Music Of The World" series. Released on the HMV red semi circle "Nipper" label, it features Ravi Shankar accompanied by Kanai Dutt on Tabla and Nodu Mullick on Tamboura.
For the age, this is in astonishing condition - the sleeve looks almost new,so shiny & uncreased.
The record has been cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up sparking clean with excellent glossy lustre. Clean labels and spindle holes - graded NM.
The sound quality is exquisite. Beautiful pure"in the room" sound with incredible bass and detail. Mesmerising and atmospheric, calming and incredibly relaxing, it is an absolute joy to play. Needless to say, the vinyl plays through as it should with no jumping or sticking.
The flipback laminate front sleeve is like new, smooth, shiny and crisp with one small crease to the lower corner. The rear is clean with no real marks. No splits, writing, stains, tape or tears.
The original heavyweight poly lined inner sleeve is doing a great job all these years on.
A beautiful copy to own, play and enjoy, fully cleaned and tested ready to pop straight onto your turntable.
