<<60th YEAR ANNIVERSARY THIS SUMMER>>
An original earliest 1st press on UK HMV from summer 1962. Matrix 1S/1S. Stampers 1P/1P - placing it amongst the 1st few thousand copies ever to roll off the press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Mono E J Day cover. We also have the correct HMV advertising inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition - particularly considering the vintage. Has seen only the lightest use and has been very carefully looked after. Under close inspection I could only make a couple of lightest marks per side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with super clarity. Jeepers creepers - A beautiful player - if you can't get excited by the music and pressing quality of this record...there's something wrong with ya! Very little background observable AT ALL. The low-key tracks play clean too... Nothing worse than a couple of crackles in a couple of spots during the ultra fussy "Love You So Much". SERIOUSLY impressive. Given the vintage '62' this record is off the scale for preservation.
Cover (Ex) Difficult to find looking this well preserved. Lovely clean and flat front cover with no creasing or laminate lift. Tiny amount of sticker residue top right. The rear has pretty much avoided the ageing process - which makes it look very impressive. All flipbacks are intact and secure. Very little edge wear and nice firm openings. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity in part thanks to the heavy card employed in manufacture. A real looker!
Inner (Ex-) Slightest ageing. Unbelievable. Bag present. No splits.
