Raymond Pettibon is a reknowned artist. He first gained notoriety when his artwork appeared on flyers and album covers for Black Flag, a band led by his older brother, Greg Ginn, as well as several other artists on his brother's record label, SST Records in the late 1970s through the mid 1980s. Raymond continued to make a name for himself in the world of art and he also occassionally dabbled in music. He has had retrospective exhibition in institutions such as the New Museum in New York City. He still occasionally does album artwork, and his art has appeared on releases by Sonic Youth, Mike Watt, Foo Fighters and OFF!, amongst others.
