Items we list on EBAY are offered on an "as is" basis.  While we take great care in describing all items based entirely on honesty & integrity -- once the auction or sale has been finalized, that sale becomes final as well.   It is the responsibility of the bidder to determine prior to the end of the listing that the item(s) will suit their personal interests.  Should you have any questions -- we promise a quick reply -- including any additional pictures or information that you may need.  We are not a store, and to avoid returns we sincerely strive to get it right the first time!  Many thanks to our previously satisfied customers who already know this.

Due to the some confusion on record-grading, we find it necessary to define what we consider to be the "standard" in the vinyl record collecting hobby.  We realize most of you already have your own understandings on this -- and they will vary to a small degree.  We seldom list a record below the VG grade(s)!   We try hard to list only those records that both look & play great - without distracting scratches, major label damage, storage warping, etc.

THIS IS OUR GRADING SCALE

MINT-   Vinyl surface still glossy, no surface scuffs, basically looks as if it has never seen a turntable, or been out of a sleeve!  (Like you just got home from the record store with it  :-)   EBAY displays an "Excellent" rating between M- and VG+... which we assume is "like new".
VERY GOOD+    Vinyl is still semi-glossy in appearance - with a very "minimal amount" of surface scuffs, has obviously been stored in a protective sleeve.   Record should be pleasing to both the eyes & ears on both sides.  Many of our records will fall into this category.
VERY GOOD    Probably the most "misrepresented" grade ever to appear in an EBAY listing!  Vinyl shows some loss of sheen - label may show "faint" ring wear from being stored with other records.  Minimal distracting noise during playback.  Label may have an index # sticker (very popular in the 50's & 60's) - Record should still be pleasing in both audio and in appearance.  Records that grade VG will often suit most folks waiting for a nicer replacement to show up.
VERY GOOD-    Vinyl may have obvious signs of never having been stored in a sleeve.  Label may show obvious, but "permanent" imperfections, i.e. writing or name on label, sticker residue, etc.  Scratches and/or scuffs may be visible, but not detract from, the enjoyment of the recording - i.e. no skips or repeated clicks.   May show slight "greying" in the vinyl.   Would still make for an excellent jukebox tune.
GOOD+    Vinyl will have visible scratches or scuffs that may be audible during playback.  May also have "major" label damage, as well as obvious signs of improper care or storage.   However - recording should still play all the way through without skipping!   While we will seldom list records of this grade - exceptions are given to more desireable records that are very rarely offered - and defects are always noted and/or displayed.   Many garage sales, flea markets, and thrift store finds often fall into this category.......
