For auction is a boxed set of Red Raven Movie Movie records with the original two records including 4 sides / songs. Those being, The Little White Duck and Old McDonald had a Farm on a green vinyl 78RPM record and the other red record, The Little Red Engine and Tootles the Tugboat. These are both 8 inch records with paper labels which have an altering image of illustrated characters which when spinning and reflecting into the mirror top carousel, create a themed cartoon in the spinning mirror. This set is clean with slight wear from use. The sound is good with cute corny songs which are sung with orchestration accompaniment and occasional sound effects. A very charming concept which was popular enough to expand to other titles sold separately. Some of which are listed on the box bottom. Again this set is complete with only the two records as noted and the mirror top. The mirror top itself was made with safety in mind. It is light with no sharp edges. There is a round red wooden ball on top, a metal top roof to the carousel and metal base as well. The many sided mirror is actually plastic. This material gives it lightness and durability, yet enables the same effectiveness as would a glass mirror but again safer and more durable. However the downfall can often be that with lots of handling and jumbled storage, these mirror tops are susceptible to the mirror coating scratching or wearing off. As to this particular mirror, the mirrored coating is very good. Upon close examination there is some fine overall wear including scratches and small black spots, yet it is among the best I've seen or I wouldn't have bought it as a collectible. Plus in use, the spinning mirror reflecting the bright colorful labels make any flaws from this degree of light wear, difficult to detect.  Both the records and mirror top in this set appear barely used and being enclosed in the original box further helped protect them.  The box itself is designed to resemble a turntable or record player. However this cardboard insert is simply cardboard and cannot play the records. The box condition is fair to poor with tattered areas, fading, creasing tears and missing spots of graphic including the top cover and some tape residue. The box is made of a thin cardboard and is somewhat mis-shapen with warping.  It also maintains color and some gloss. The insert is good but has a split loop that partly holds the mirror top when stored. This set is being sold as-is and not returnable.
