Bigtime Records catalog # 1-10020, stereo, copyright 1986.

A very clean copy of "Red Wave", pressed on colored vinyl. One LP is red, and the other yellow.

This album, the brainchild of Joanna Stingray, this album features 4 different underground bands from the USSR. Each band gets a full side to showcase their music.

According to the liner notes, these bands were considered "underground" because they were not recognized by the government, and therfore couldn't receive any money for their recordings or performances. This meant that they were free to create their own music, but had to rely on word of mouth and the passing of recordings from fan to fan to get their music heard.

Stingray brought these tapes to the US and compiled this collection, which finally gave the music exposure to worldwide listeners.

Vinyl is in Near-Mint condition. Play surfaces are very clean.

Gatefold sleeve is NM-, with no writing or split seams, but some slight ringwear and a bit of sticker residue front upper right.
