This is the Holy Grail as far as I am concerned. I played recently the Classics Reissue LP and the SACD RCA CD and I just couldn't believe how much more natural is the original in comparison. You have to be practically deaf and insensitive to not hear the difference. String reproduction is the finest you can think of!

I truly love this recording and you will too. It is getting practically impossible to get an original yet alone in this fine condition.  It will be your pride and joy. My starting price is ridiculous, I know. The reason why I cannot price it in the stratosphere  is because this particular copy is not strictly Mint.  It does play 95% absolutely perfect with very low residual noise if any, practically quiet all along. However there is a spot at the end of side 1in the quiet section with tiny marks which will make it sound lightly and on side 2 also, but just very few times quite lightly, hence the rating. However it is extraordinarily enjoyable and anybody except the most striking wealthy perfectionist able to pay over $500 towards a mint copy will be dissatisfied with this record. It is truly a desert island LP. Few ticks on those sections is truly unimportant once you hear how remarkable this one sounds.

A miracle of sound reproduction recorded in 1954 and released by RCA in 1960.

Unbelievable for a 50 year old recording!!!

 

Hence the rating visually is:  M-/VG++ but sonically more towards a M- and cover M-
