redgarnett Store ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This handsome LP – with 1S/1S stampers – from RCA Victor (LSC-2436, US pressing, top dog label, stereo, original inner sleeve included) features Fritz Reiner and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s unsurpassed accounts of Respighi’s Pines of Rome and Fountains of Rome, both recorded in the rich acoustics of Orchestra Hall, Chicago on 24 October 1959 (producer: Richard Mohr / engineer: Lewis Layton).
Incidentally, there are excellent liner notes on the reverse side of the jacket by Roger Dettmer, Music Editor of Chicago’s American. The front cover photos are uncredited.
CONDITION – PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is near-MINT. There is slight shelfwear but that is all. Otherwise, the album appears almost as new. There are no seamsplits, bends, owners' markings, or other defects and the album remains solid, bright, and highly attractive in appearance – overall, this is a very fine collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is EXCELLENT. Though there is some occasional light surface noise, in general the playback is quite fine and close to NM. However, if you must have flawless or near-mint surfaces, then please do not buy this LP. Overall, this rates as an excellent collector's copy.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
