Richard Hell 1976 BLANK GENERATION Stiff Picture Sleeve Numbered 714/5000
Rare opportunity to acquire this superb and numbered 7" EP from Richard Hell's Void-Oids. Purchased new by Julian Cope from Liverpool's Penny Lane Records, the item was immediately kept safe in a thick polythene bag, ensuring that the cover has remained clean and free from tears or bends, exhibiting only minor ring wear from the disc within and a tiny graze where the disc has been accessed from the sleeve down the decades. Both sides have just been played and here is the report. Side one's five-minute epic 'Another World' begins with static and some crackles which do not entirely settle down until about one full minute into the song, thereafter nothing negative was noted. Side Two's 'Blank Generation' was also very clean except for minor pops or static right at the beginning. The final track 'You Gotta Lose' appeared to be free of any issues at all until the closing seconds when a couple of pops could be heard. A lovely ancient item. Many thanks for looking.
