Background Information

Click on the link to see the original information source: - Rick Hayward

Guitarist Rick Hayward is that rare creature, the all-round player. Very few artistes combine his accurate ear for authenticity with such an original creativity, and the awesome technique to complete the picture.

As the session guitarist for Blue Horizon Records in the 1960s/70s, Rick worked and recorded with many other great musicians, including Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, Rod Argent, American bluesmen Lightnin' Slim and Freddie King (who recorded some of Rick’s songs), Christine Perfect-McVie (who had a band on the road with Rick), The Zombies and many more. Rick also co-wrote, with top producer Mike Vernon, a US No 1 hit record.

More recently he completed eight years with popular East Anglian rock band The Big Easy. These days, however, Rick’s just as much at home playing delicate acoustic tunes as raging rock lead guitar, and “a Little Uneasy…” allows him to indulge his taste for beautiful Irish airs, ragtime instrumentals, blues, finger-style classical guitar, early Elizabethan pieces, and jazz standards. Any guitar buffs in his audience are guaranteed a mesmerizing treat!

  Other Information

If you require any further information about this record or require additional photos, matrix numbers etc - please let me know and I will send them to you.

All records will be sent in professional mailers with two cardboard stiffeners. The record will be removed from the sleeve to protect it during transit. I will always obtain a certificate of posting for each parcel.

It is essential that you use the Recorded/Special delivery (UK) or International Signed For (Rest of World) postal options if you want to insure the item against damage or loss. I cannot take responsibility for the package once it is in the hands of the postal service using the basic 1st class or Air Mail service (uninsured).

I would prefer PayPal, if possible, from non UK bidders. For UK based bidders, PayPal would be the best option, otherwise a cheque or postal order may be acceptable. Please contact me if in doubt.
