Description

Ride: Nowhere LP (Original 1990 Creation records CRELP074)

Purchased by me at that time in 1990 after seeing them live for the first time. It has been very well looked after as part of my personal record collection ever since and is in all round lovely condition for over 30 years old. The embossed textured sleeve denotes a first edition of the original pressing run and it has no seam splits and only very minimal storage/ edge wear and a fully readable spine. There is minor ring wear at the top on the back of the cover and also the usual Ride sticker mark on the front (top left) that a lot of the originals carry. I have taken loads of photos of the sleeves and record so please take the time to scroll through all of them to view any of the highlighted imperfections. The original printed inner sleeve is in excellent condition with no seam splits or any other damage. In recent years I transferred the record into a poly sleeve to preserve the vinyl and this will also be supplied.

The vinyl itself still retains a nice glossy appearance with the odd superficial surface mark/ scuff here and there on both sides. visible when scrutinised under a bright LED light. You can see from the photos of the vinyl there is nothing substantial or feelable to effect the playback. The Deadwax is inscribed ‘A Porky Prime Cut ‘ on one side and ‘Another Prime Cut Too’ on the other indicating the record was cut by the legendary recording engineer, George Peckham.

I have just cleaned it in my professional record cleaning machine using the award winning L’Art du Son cleaning fluid so it’s now free from any dirt, dust and static and in the best possible condition for the next owner to enjoy. I have also test played both sides all the way through on my Project Debut Carbon deck fitted with an Ortofon 2M Blue stylus. It sits perfectly flat on the turntable and it plays through beautifully with absolutely no sticking, skipping or jumping. The audio sounds fantastic still with plenty of punch and plays through with barely no surface noise. Nice and quiet and certainly with none of those annoying and distracting loud clicks and pops - definitely much less crackles and noise, with more dynamics than modern day vinyl pressings!!

I will post to the buyer packaged properly so that no damage will come to it in transit and with a tracked, signed for service. Check my 100% positive feedback record from over 1,250 happy buyers so rest assured you can buy from me with confidence
