Description
Ringo Starr "La De Da" (Radio Edit) (4:14) / "Everyday" (4:09) original USA 45 rpm promotional phonograph record, Mercury Records MELP 195, with light cardboard promotional picture cover. This is a somewhat difficult to obtain issue. This stereo record has red promotional labels, with a small silver star, tiny black-and-white Mercury logo, extremely small black perimeter print, and both orange and black print text. The labels have "Side 1" and "Side 2" designations. Both labels are clean, with no writing on either side. There is promotional designation printed on the back of the picture sleeve. Ringo Starr was previously drummer for The Beatles. Electric guitar and slide guitar solo on "La De Da" by Joe Walsh; background vocals: Paul McCartney, Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), Joe Walsh (James Gang, Eagles), and Scott Weiland. "La De Da" (Radio Edit) / "Everyday" was released in the United States, in May of 1998. Both songs were written by Richard Starkey (Ringo Starr), Mark Hudson, Dean Grakal, and Steve Dudas. The record was produced by Mark Hudson and Ringo Starr. Recorded by Scott Gordon. Mixed by Geoff Emerick. This rare ten-year-old promotional phonograph record has never been played, and is in mint condition. The record comes in a white die-cut paper sleeve. The light cardboard promotional picture cover is in near mint condition. There is NO writing or marks of any kind on the picture cover; there are NO stains, tears, or seam splits. The picture cover comes in a clear protective sleeve. This is the nicest copy of this promotional record and promotional picture cover that you could find. "The Official Price Guide To The Beatles Records And Memorabilia Second Edition" (1999) lists a near mint copy of "La De Da" (Radio Edit) / "Everyday" promotional 45, with promotional picture cover, at $50.00 (promotional phonograph record $25.00 / promotional picture cover $25.00). That is a nine-year-old price. In my thirty-six years in the phonograph record business, this is THE ONLY COPY of this promotional item that I have seen. Don't regret at a later date missing out what you are able to acquire this week. I doubt that you find another of these, so bid early, and bid often J. GOOD LUCK TO ALL. Shipping: USA First Class $3.85. International Air Mail: Canada or Mexico $4.85, South America or Europe $6.85, Asia, Russia, or Japan $7.85. Shipping is adjusted for multiple auction wins.
