Description
This very rare and unique 7 inch Acetate/Direct Cut/Demo EP by 'The Riot Rockers'.
This original, highly valuable and collectable record is a one off, Acetate/Demo, Cut Direct record from the master tape before pressing the vinyl records goes ahead. They are more rigid than vinyl (I think they are like aluminium then covered in tough vinyl coating.)These are not meant for resale, just for reference for the pressing engineer, for e.q, distortion, clippling & quality ect: This is like the 'Mother Master' so to speak. They are not meant to be played like vinyl records, but in the 50's,60's,70's & 80's, artistes and bands used these Acetate/Direct cuts to send as demo's to agents and record companies. It was cut at, Tam Theatre Services in London on, 9th June 1981.
The record and sleeve are in good condition. It has only been played very few times to check it out,since 1981 and then kept in storage.Simply because I produced the recording in my own studio in Grimsby UK, for The Riot Rockers and eventually released it on vinyl on Humber Records label in 1981, and I always retained a copy of everything I produced for reference.
There is a scratch on the A side on the track 'Please Mr Mayor' but it plays ok.
