Rip Rig + Panic-God-2LP-1981 Virgin UK issue 2 x 12” vinyl LP (V 2213) – Scarce UH HUH Label – Rip Rig + Panic were a post-punk band founded in 1981, who broke up in 1983. They were named after a 1965 jazz album by Roland Kirk. They were formed by Sean Oliver (bass), Mark Springer (piano, sax, vocals), Gareth Sager (guitar, sax, keyboards, vocals) and Bruce Smith (drums, percussion) (the latter two formerly of The Pop Group) with singer Neneh Cherry. Their other members included saxophonist Flash (David Wright), singer Andrea Oliver, trumpeter David De Fries and viola-player Sarah Sarhandi. Their debut album, God is a double 12 inch, 45 rpm offering with 15 songs, none of which were released as singles - housed in original single sleeve picture jacket in very good++ condition showing crease to bottom LH corner of jacket. Both Vinyl discs are in excellent condition showing some light sleeve scuffs.
